Shipping Policy – Space Coast Mealworms

At Space Coast Mealworms, every order is made-to-order — no items are held in stock. Most orders follow standard designs, while fully custom orders (including logos, new dimensions, or one-of-a-kind creations) are produced specifically for you. Each order is handled carefully, crafted with attention to detail, and shipped once your details are verified.

As a one-person operation (and a full-time teacher by day!), I appreciate your patience as I craft orders during evenings and weekends.

2. Processing & Delivery Times

Most orders are processed and shipped within 5–7 business days of purchase.
Larger or more complex orders — or periods with a high order volume — may require additional processing time.

If I anticipate a significant delay, I’ll notify you by email. Please note that processing time is separate from shipping time, which depends on the carrier and service level selected at checkout.

To ensure the fastest and most cost-effective delivery, I may substitute an equivalent or faster shipping service (for example, switching from UPS Ground to USPS Priority) if the estimated delivery window remains the same or sooner.
Any savings from this adjustment may be used to help offset the cost of packaging and handling materials.

If you have a specific carrier preference (for example, due to delivery reliability in your area), please include that in the order notes at checkout or contact me promptly after placing your order. I’ll make every reasonable effort to honor that request when possible.

Custom & Personalized Orders

Custom orders are made specifically for your request. Once production begins:

  • Custom orders are non-refundable and non-cancelable, except in cases of my error or defect.

  • If the error occurs due to incorrect information provided by the customer, a material replacement fee and re-cutting charge may apply before a replacement can be made.

Address Verification & Abandoned Orders

It’s essential that your shipping address is accurate.

If an address issue or missing information prevents shipment, I will contact you via email. Orders requiring confirmation will be held for up to 30 days.

  • For standard made-to-order items, if no response is received, the order may be considered abandoned, and a 25% processing and materials fee will be deducted from any refund.

  • For fully custom orders, if no response is received, the order may be considered abandoned, and 50% of the order value may be withheld to cover materials and labor already expended.

Refunds or replacements cannot be processed until a valid shipping address is confirmed.

Shipping Methods & Carrier Selection

Customers may choose their preferred shipping carrier at checkout (UPS, USPS, or DHL — note: DHL is international only).

Space Coast Mealworms reserves the right to ship with a different carrier if the estimated delivery timeframe is the same, in order to reduce costs or improve packaging quality.

Risk of Loss & Delivery

Once the carrier scans your package or marks it “Delivered,” risk of loss passes to the customer.
Please inspect your shipment promptly. If a package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, notify me within 7 days of the delivery date shown on tracking. I will work with the carrier to resolve the issue or, in some cases, offer a discounted remake.

International Shipping

International shipments may be subject to customs fees, duties, or import taxes charged by the destination country.
Space Coast Mealworms is not responsible for these additional costs or for delays caused by customs processing.

Please double-check your shipping address carefully — I may contact you to confirm any incomplete or unclear details before shipping internationally.

Order Tracking

You will receive tracking information via email once your order ships.
Allow up to 24 hours for tracking updates to appear after the carrier scans your package.

Communication

All order-related communication will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Please respond promptly to any messages regarding address verification, shipping details, or order clarifications to avoid delays or fees.

Every product from Space Coast Mealworms is made, packed, and shipped by one person — usually after a long day of teaching!
